Jack's hamburgers for 15 cents so good good good...lol. Guess I will never forget that jingle from my childhood but was exited to hear they are coming to Dadeville. It will be good to have a choice other than the worst McDonald's on the a net when you need to pick up a quick sandwich and go. I will be disappointed if we loose the twice the ice business though.  I thought that would be a big waste of time and money when it first went in but was wrong bigly... Lol. I have grown into a loyal  customer and will miss them if they leave to accommodate the Jack's. The paper said it was going to be bit where it now is but there is hopefully enough room for both.  Either  way I'll come back back back for more more more.

Speaking of the worst McDonald's on the planet the district manager told me it is scheduled for remodel/upgrade in January. Probably because Jack's is Co in. Over half the time when I go there for a milkshake the machine is  broken.

Couldn't agree more that McDonald's in Dadeville is the worst I have ever visited.  It has gotten so bad, I now refuse to visit, and I must say that remodeling is NOT the problem......the problem is the EMPLOYEES.  Cleanliness and attitude reflects the management and the employees.  Hope the owner reads this!

YEP--another healthy fast food place for Alabamians--load up on those fries//calories; nothing against Jacks--but why cant this area get anything but fast food--ive seen some families orders total more than what it would cost a family of 4 to get meat + 3

the Chinese/Japanese/sushi Place on 280, next to Capt D's.  I don't do " bait" but the Chinese is very good for dinner.

BTW, the ice machine is gone from the lot where Jack's will be.

No worries ice box moved over in front of Dollar General /Subway where fireworks are sold.  Dadeville McDonalds should've been closed down years ago.  Absolutely disgusting and nasty employees.  Never tried Jacks so we'll see.  Will someone please do a ''rain dance'

I could not agree more about the employees at this McDonald's.  They have issues...

Here is how to really hope someone reads feedback for the worst McDonald's:

They have heard mine repeatedly. I use the recipe and go to the website o  it and take the survey. It also gets you a free sandwich. But more direct than that I went one day for a milkshake and was told once again the machine wasn't working, which is the case most of the time. I told the guy at the window I was going to call the customer comment number posted at the window because it's ridiculous. He said you don't have to do that, the district manager was in the store and went and got her. I blasted with both barrels and got the standard were so sorry Yada Yada Yada. Offered me some other drink,  a frappe or something I had no desire for. She is the one that told me about the January remodel and they are always looking for good help and basically asked me did I want the job. I got a good laugh at that.

One major issue is the labor pool from which they can draw. I understand that having in positions to have to hire, train and retain low wage unskilled labor. But good management can overcome those obstacles, I know because I have but it takes talent and determination. That falls directly on her shoulders because she is who hires the management.

I wonder if the owner of the Dadeville McDonalds is the same owner as the one in Alex City.  It used to be dirty, and awful.  Then they remodeled it and it cleaned up.  I hope that it is what happens in Dadeville.  Lifer, I agree that unskilled workers or not, Management should set and enforce customer service standards.  And the willingness to clean up, is well within the purview of management too.  A friend once told me that employees will seek the lowest standard a manager will accept and there it will stay.

Its about setting standards and requiring them to be responsible for keeping them. You are absolutely right about doing as little as they can get away with. In my retail stores the worst task that I got push back from was cleaning restrooms. When I hired anyone as soon as paperwork was done I would go straight the restrooms with them. I would clean one showing them how I expected it to be done then tell them to do the other telling them if i could/would do it they better not ever give me any flak when tasked with that chore. Of course a few times I ended up just round filing their just finished paper work because they were too good to clean bathrooms. I learned it was a good way to separate the ones worth keeping. I take pride in the fact that there are a few folks I hired through the years that are still with the companies years after I left. Two of them over 20 years now but with different companies.
