President, Senator, Community Organizer, and now Reverend. Quoted "To much is given, much is required" to support his higher tax agenda.

But nothing new for an agnostic politician to wrap himself in the bible to justify his policy positions. I still remember Hillary talking about how Joseph and Mary were homeless.......hey idiot, they weren't homeless. They were forced to leave their home by the government and go to Bethlehem so they could be counted for taxes......they lived in Nazareth where Joseph worked as a carpenter and unfortunately because of another corrupt government official (Herod) they had to flee to Egypt to avoid Jesus being killed. So here's one for the Teleprompter in Chief......"For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." Try that rule on for size when you are spouting your class envy, redistribution of wealth crap. Or how about this one for one of his ardent support groups. "Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God." Try telling your gay and lesbian supporters what the bible says about their lifestyles. And then there is this one. "Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees," I could make a long list of laws he signed that fall into this category. But I doubt we will ever hear him say any of these biblical quotes. They don't fit his ideology.......

What's your opinion of that noted theologian Donald Trump?...erstwhile Republican guru before whose alter every GOP candidate except Ron Paul and John Huntsman (bless their hearts) sees fit to grovel and genuflect. Guess Mitt bowed lowest and grovelled most impressively.

Don't remember Trump quoting scriptures in any political discussions!

It's for sure he ain't no Billy Graham or Pope John-Paul II. A new poll today said 9% are more likely to back Mitt because of Trump's action while 41% are less likely. In the final analysis, Obama easily won the day speaking (even in a political way if that is how you see it) to a prayer breakfast, vs Mitt Kow-towing to the Donald! Any honest person right or left would have to admit that. I'm sure you won't

The Donald is a publicity hound and I suspect that Mitt took the endorsement as a way to prevent a third party run. That may or may not be smart politics but it is true that any 3rd party run on either the left or the right ensures defeat of the major party candidate. Perot cost GHWB his second term and Nader cost Gore his chance. But I am quite sure that if Mitt is the nominee he is going to do so many prayer breakfasts that his head will be spinning. The problem with Obama is that far too many people understand that he is a nominal Christian at best. I personally think he is more of an agnostic.
