Is there any need to do anything to the fuel that will be left over in tanks during the next 6 months??

I think a lot of folks add a fuel stabilizer for the winter. I have never done that, but do park my boats with a full tank to avoid condensation buildup. They all crank up and run OK the next year with no problem.

AGREED, I never have any problems, and all I do is fill up before parking for the winter. One more thing... 6 months seems like a long time to park the boat.

Top off the tank.
Add 1 pint of Sea Foam gas additive (Can be found at Auto Zone, Advance Auto)
Actually have begun adding Sea Foam to all my marine engines periodically throughout the Summer.
And also to my Lawn Mower and 2 Cycle Oils that sit around for six months or so for the weed eater, blower, chain saw, etc and have to say all seem to start quicker, smoke less and run smoother.

Reading monthly "Family Handyman" mag, had article about fuel stabelizerss not working on gas with ethanol, unless the gas was fresh. Have any mechanics out there mentioned this?

Siphon all the gas from your tanks into portable ones, and leave at your curb. I will be by to pick up ;-)
If you need empty cans to siphon into, send me an email....
Just kidding....
