Anyone had any recent experiences here? Looking for another place to enjoy now that Sinclair's is closed.

What does that have to do with a place to enjoy - other than a great view, I would say that the joint formerly known as Sinclair's was a crap shoot as far as service and food quality...

We went to Acapulco grill in Tallassee this weekend. It was very good and killer margaritas. I am sure we will go back as good restaurants are hard to find these days.

You might try the new 10/20 Cafe. It's in the little strip building by Hardee's / WalMart on 229. Good sandwiches, excellent coffee, inventive desserts. No offense to Tallasee, but you won't believe how good it is, especially for where it is.

Well the truth is I usually always enjoyed the place and sorry to see it closed. I hope RL can make it work as it is a great location and as you said, great views. It sure as hell beats driving into Alex City for Cap't D's which is what I had to do in several years ago.

I'll give the other two places a chance but anyone having info about Wahoo, please comment.

I may just give up BINGO at Niffers, and visit Wahoo now.  Stand by.

Hey CAT,

Last time I saw the opening times for Wahoo's they were Thurs-Sat .  Hope you didn't waste your gasoline just to find the doors locked.

GOOD PEOPLE--TRY HARD; NOT GREAT ON LARGE GROUPS I HEAR--ONLY WISH THEY DIDNT USE STYROFOAM BOWLS FOR SALADS--FISH IS FRESH & STEAKS ARE GOOD--ASK FOR SPECIALS--SOME MENU ITEMS SAY FRIED, BUT IF YOU ASK NORMALLY THEY WILL ACCOMMODATE & GRILL--GOOD BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP

Service was terrible.  I choose to sit outside because the weather was so nice.  Sat there for about two hours, and not one person ask if I needed help.  I did'nt even see anyone to place a drink order with.  Needless to say, I never got my food!  Not even a glass of water.  Did'nt see a menu either.   Finally, I gave up and left.  Half starved.  There was not even ONE car in the parking lot.  Makes me wonder how the employees get to work!   But, being that I am a small business owner myself,  I will give them one more chance on Thursday.  I'll let yall know how that goes.

Have been 3 times and left unhappy each time. I'm a firm believer in 3 strikes and you're out. These may be great people, but operating a restaurant is not their calling.

That is the typical weath destroyer here. Hey! I have a good recipe. Let's open a restaurant.

But sometimes it works and I think we have pretty good places considering the population. We need to quit complaining....

They have a really good fish sandwich. I never eat in, so cannot comment on wait staff. Can say that Chris is always there and ready to do whatever. Since it is the only place on this side of the lake,we need to make it work. I have wondered why nothing works on this side.

Since you are not getting much positive info, I will wade in.  I have eaten at Wahoo's since their second week they were open and have probably been there 12 or 15 other times since.  I liked Harbor Docks better when they were open but I like Wahoo's better than Sinclairs.  Decent food, cheap wine and a nice atmosphere.  I do think the nightly specials have increased to the point that they are not worth the price.  I usually stick to the regular menu.  And as far as service, if my waitress is not attentive enough, I wave someone else down.  Chris will always wait on you or get you someone.

Hi Everyone,
After reading all of the reviews, we tried them again last Saturday night.
The food and service were great.  We will be back frequently.
