Went for my first time last night. Had steak cooked medium and "smashed" potatos. Yummy. I think I like that place. Awesome food and service.

So where is it?
|
Really? It's been around a long time, but it's also about as far away from you as one could get on 34 in Dadeville. I'm ready to challenge the "best steak on the lake" claim however....very good, but there's no steak I like better than one off the BGE.

leave Cat out of this... he's been buying his pellets from Mexico and he's been standing too close to the Traeger.

I text you yesterday, and said "If you skeered call the Police". If you are remotely comparing cooking skills you will loose, hands down. I don't have a restaurant, but Poplar Dawgs was very good. And, I have NEVER seen a post that says your cooking is good! Just sayin'.

I beg to differ. I have seen a lot of post claiming his cooking was the best, but they were all posted by the cook himself.

If you look above, I said "off the BGE"....that clould be mine, Talisi's, LnG's, Dang Yankees' or one of many more. The Dawg has a good steak, but I've always preferred a superior cut of meat done right over lump charcoal (heck, even a cheaper cut tastes great if done right on the egg). And Feb, I'll even say that would apply to your Weber and a bag of Royal Oak.... I just prefer home cooked steaks and I always have. As for my my cookin', y'all come by some time when we have a get together; I don't think you'll complain too loud if you give it a try. As for claiming I'm the best? I don't think I've ever said that, but go ahead hand prove me wrong if I did ( but I do think I can beat your Weber in ribs). I have said (and I stand firmly behind) the statment that the Egg is a better all around cooking machine than a Weber and the Traeger......and I have plenty of backers. Jus Sayin'.
