What is your favorite non-Thanksgiving items that you have for Thanksgiving.  Sure the turkey, the dressing, the sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce (from the can only) are great.  But what weird item is served?

My favorite is venison summer sausage with spicy mustard.  I used to take it to T-day gatherings as an appetizer.  A group of Mennonites had a deer processing place down below Orville, AL.  They made the best.  I have not found another place that is as good, and the Mennonites left town.

We skip the turkey and go with smoked prime rib and baked potatoes.

This year it was a bowl of hot Brunswick Stew with Yeast rolls. Served on a deck overlooking the Gulf.....
