Would someone who blames the House Republicans for the shutdown please explain why you think that way? Today President Obama called Speaker Bohener to let him know there will be no negotiating until the House passes a clean spending bill AND raises the debt ceiling. He does agree to negotiate AFTER those are passed. By the way, a "clean" resolution means scrubbed of all fiscal responsibility and accountability. In all my lifetime I have never heard of negotiating or compromising after a deal was done. Imagine going into a new car dealership, making three offers, each increasing in price, but having to agree to their sticker price, which never changed, with the promise that after the contract is signed, and the deal is done, they will negotiate. Really? If you think that's how it should be done then you deserve what you get. Unfortunately, in this case, we all get the same deal.

Hostage......hold a gun to their heads.....terrorists.....extortion.......threat....threaten......
What a pack of lies from the moron who twice voted no to raising the debt ceiling because of his opposition to the war in Iraq.......what a blithering hypocrite..... This is all going to backfire on them and the more he talks the worse it is going to get because it puts the lie to the lies he and others told early in the week that he was willing to negotiate.
It also shows how little regard he has for the American people that they won't realize the absurdity of "give me everything I want and then we'll negotiate...". OK, I can understand his disdain for left wing nuts, blacks and low information voters. They would vote for him if he was caught filming kiddie porn......

I watched a lying SOB on television as he piled one lie on another as long as I can stand. I think he actually believes the lies he is telling. All I'm going to say on the subject is, "the person that was being broadcast is like a manure salesman with a mouth full of samples."

But read the following (especially the quotes at the end) and you will understand why I hold liberals in such low regard and why they are a bunch of hypocrites. There would be millions more of libtards like these two coming to the same conclusion if they could actually get the website to work so they can get an actual quote from Obamacare for their insurance. They are going to crap in their pants.....which is why the govt is studiously avoiding telling us the percentage of visitors that sign up.....its probably in the single digits. Prediction: so few will sign up and so many will pay the tax (John Robert's interpretation, not mine) that they will have to try to change the law to force people to sign up or they will have to significantly increase the tax so it is cheaper to buy insurance. You watch.......
Citizens in the Bay Area have noticed, too. In a piece called “Obamacare’s winners and loser in Bay Area,” the San Jose Mercury News took a look at who was suffering under the new rules. Among the losers are Cindy Vinson and Tom Waschura, both of whom back the president:Vinson, of San Jose, will pay $1,800 more a year for an individual policy, while Waschura, of Portola Valley, will cough up almost $10,000 more for insurance for his family of four.
The pair’s reactions are instructive. “Of course, I want people to have health care,” Vinson told the newspaper. “I just didn’t realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally.” Waschura was similarly surprised. “I was laughing at Boehner,” he said, “until the mail came today.”
