Subject:   Question about cutting trees
Date:   1/8/2020 12:59:37 PM

I have about 12 to 15 trees I want to cut that is blocking our view on the lake. It may be the worst situation possible becasue there is no way to get a truck and trailor back there and they are situated on a steep sloap. I was planning on dropping them in the slough that I live in and cutting some of them up and leaving some of them in laying in the water.

My question is.. Since the water is down, am I able to cut them in log sections and burn them in the bottom of the slough? Or is that a bad idea? I will kill myself trying to get cut logs up the hill.

I would't drop them in the water. but to drop them on the bank while the water it down, cutting them up into logs and burn them I don't see where it would be a problem.  Green wood is hard to burn, mix diesel fuel and used motor oil 50/50 mix spray ( cheap sprayer you can throw away ) or pour on logs and it will burn much better. Once you get a few coals a leaf blower will also help getting it to burn.  Be safe good luck.
