If you mean the "Lake Martin turning into a retirement community" picture, you should know that, for the last 15 or 20 years, Lake Martin has consistently been ranked as one of the Top Retirement Communities in the country. So, "that day" has been coming for decades, and it had nothing to do with any boat bill.
And before you try to insult me with some sort of "oldtimer" comment, you should know that I'm nowhere near retiring, or even retirement age. And, I'm not in favor of turning the lake into any sort of retirement community, and never have been. But I am in favor of returning to the days when people respected the lake and other boaters, days that I thought were long gone. I think this is the first step towards getting those days back again.

I agree with you 100% The days of an Average guy with and average sized ski boat or bass boat going to the lake on a weekend and actaully being able to enjoy riding in the boat is over. Hopefully not for long though. I would love for a law to be passed banning all the big, should be in the ocean, type boats form the lake. If you watch 95% of these big boats, they never even plane off. They just motor along at about 10-15MPH making a HUGE wake and destroying the shoreline. I would love to see a day when you see nothing but Bass boats, Ski boats, and Pontoon boats on the lake again. It would be much more enjoyable for the Average guy, which by the way, probably outnumbers these rich "look what i have" people probably 10 to 1 at the lake.
