For those,of you not on Facebook, use caution. Lake is expected to crest on Wednesday at 470 feet. That's 5 feet above summer full pool.

Be careful,

Which Facebook page is that?  The St Clair EMA was about the best one I could find to follow. Thanks!

Does anyone remember what date the lake flooded over the dam when a dam broke somewhere? I have tried to  find out when but cannot locate it but have seen a chart in the past.

I don't recall that. It got to 477 or so in 1977 or '78. I can't remember the exact numbers but I think the top of the dam is 481.

The only reaso I know this useless information is I had a battle with my mortgage company about flood insurance. The elevation of the bottom floor of my house is above the dam is the only way I got out of it.

Someone posted a nice history on the Facebook page a day or 2 ago.

The good news is, once we get through today, things should start improving. Wouldn't be surprised if we're not back at winter level by this time next week.

Peace
