Subject:	Fall is soup time. Recipes?

Due to my wife thinking soup is only for cooler weather I have been anticipating fall's arrival. This year she is avoiding potatoes and tomatoes. In vegetable soup and beef stew I can leave the potatoes larger so she can take them out. What are your favorite soups, especially without those two ingredients?
