Went out in Sany Creek Sat 3/28. Same old stuff. Plenty of Spotted bass holding near shore and on points. Caught all fish on either a Rat-L-Trap or Senko sinking worm (5"-6" moss color). Water temp is now 70 degrees. I could not locate any stripers. I went out in the afternoon with the family for some Crappie around D.A.R.E park (used minnows and threw small jigs). Fished between shore and 40'. No luck. Anyone have any advice on the Crappie or Stripers. I am tired of catching spotted bass.

The crappie are up shallow. Any wood cover on the bank is going to hold them. If you make a couple of cast on the structure and dont get a bite, go to the next one.

I tried a few spots with fallen trees but did not get any. I guess I need to be more patient and try more spots. Thanks.

Pontoonfisher, my wife and I went out Saturday and caught 7 small stripers, average size was 11 to 12 inches. We were useing Shad Raps, and were in aprox 8 to 10 feet of water. I caught one spoted bass 16-1/2" long on the same thing later in the day.

Tree, were they stripers or white bass? I am looking for 10 to 30 pounders.

I thought that they DNR quit stocking hybrids on Martin in the mid 90's. Do they still stock them? I've caught whites and stripes but havent caught a hybrid in years.
