Good morning, as you can tell Logan Martin is around full
pool and hopefully we can stay around that level throughout summer. For those who are members of LMLPA I hope you
have been receiving our notices concerning the flooding. I have had reports that our notices were
actually preceding APCO websites information and we will see if we can interact
with APCO and overcome that issue. LMLPA
is dedicated in providing information to our members with alerts about potential
flooding and other issues that have an effect on the health and wellbeing of
our beautiful lake. One of many items
that seem to be of importance is education on the Army Corp of Engineers Water
Manual that dictates flood control on the Coosa and Alabama basins. We have requested an article be written in
layman’s language about that very subject and we will publish in a future
newsletter. By the way your LMLPA just
received an award from Alabama Water Watch for promoting statewide water usage
legislation in combating the potential loss of our water rights from our
neighbor to the east. We still need
everyone’s support in the many issues we face about our beloved lake so if you
can please join LMLPA.
Thanks,
Mike
