When you hear the usual cast of characters state that this money was used for food or whatever, remind them of the above.  If I had $6B of my cash earmarked for something and someone drops another $6B in my lap I can divert money to another thing....like say, missiles and weapons for my favorite terror group, Hamas.  And remember, this isn't the first pallets of cash delivered to the Mullahs of Iran.

As for your last part, I am sad to say that leftists have infiltrated all levels of government, including our so-called intelligence agencies.  And one thing we know for sure is that leftists destroy anything they control.  Look what they have done to academia, entertainment, media, etc.  As Dennis Prager often says, truth is not a left-wing value.  When you ignore truth you can have all sorts of bad ideas and beliefs and happily put them to work regardless of the consequences.  Besides, they are more fixated on MAGA voters than unimportant things like terrorists and hostile nations.

EDIT:  Just saw in the news that a Hamas spokesman said they were using weapons and munitions that they bought from Ukraine.  If true, and these people are frequent liars, we should suspend all military support for Ukraine immediately.  This needs to be verified of course, but it would not surprise me that some Ukranian kleptocrats sold our military equipment to the highest bidder, which would easily be Hamas using Iranian funds.
