I have just finished the very lengthy book "Elon Musk" by Walter Isaacson, a biography of Musk up to 2023.  When you read it, you have to wonder how he can function in a government environment.  He has never worked for anyone, and he usually ends up firing anyone who doesn't agree with him and work "hardcore" as he does.  He believes electric vehicles are necessary to eliminate the use of fossil fuels, but he may find some way to accept the elimination of the EV mandate and continue the success of Tesla.  His overriding obsession is going to Mars, and Trump says we are going.  If you watched the inaguration, Musk gave him the thumbs up!!
