Another firm you may want to look at is ProScapes Outdoors, LLC.  They are also out of Auburn, I believe.  Although I haven't personally used them, they recently did a job in our neighborhood here at the lake that looks very nice.  It consisted of some large retaining walls (again involving significant slope), double-deck patios, and an outdoor kitchen/bar.  I don't know any details about the cost of the project, etc., but the work itself looks great.
