Just remember, GA has a GOP Governor, Lt. Gov, SOS, control of the legislature and the vast majority of counties are red. No doubt Walker was not a good candidate and that is on the state GOP and the primary voters for selecting him. I think we make the mistake of thinking a black candidate will attract more black votes than they will lose white suburban voters and that is simply not the case. Trump may have endorsed Walker but he didn't vote for him....we did. Like I also said, the power of incumbency is pretty amazing. I think Ossoff is up in 2024 and hopefully we will do a better job in selecting a candidate that will get the voters to the polls. Sure didn't happen this time and the numbers in the red counties were way down (700K less than in November) compared to what Kemp and other state-wide GOP candidates got.
