Now you know why I have Archie on ignore.  He is obsessed with race like Goofy is obsessed with Trump.  The sad reality is that Archie in his heart of hearts is a true southern racist.  He is just pretending to be an enlightened progressive but he sees skin color in everything and truly believes that black people need his old, white liberal beneficience to get through their day.  They are too dumb and inferior to make it through life without the gov't and according to the Archie's view of the world all you have to do is stay on the Democrat party plantation and the elites will dole out their rewards.  As for the color of their skin, I could care less and I condemned the rioting, fire setting, violence and murders committed by Antifa who are mostly angry, young, loser white men and the rioting, looting, fire setting, violence and murders by BLM who are mostly black and young, brainwashed white liberal women.  I could care less about the color of their skin....something we cannot say about Archie the bigot.

As for the events at the Capitol, my view is that the people who engaged in it should be condemned and prosecuted.  They ought to know better and we ought to hold ourselves to a higher standard than the left obviously holds themselves to.  But as for your observation about the immense double standard, and I know you know this, that's like saying the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.  If the left didn't have double standards they would have none at all.  That is why this violence played right into the hands of the media and Democrats and why it was stupid.  I get the anger and frustration but when we resort to the tactics of the left we play right into their hands.  We give them a ready excuse to do what they really desire to do.  They want a civil war because they think they can win it because they control the message through the media.....and they do.  Whether they can win a civil war is very doubtful to me.....they do not understand the half of the country that doesn't agree with them politically.

I also agree that a fair number of the people involved in the storming of the Capitol meant well and got carried away.  But actions should have consequences even if they are unfairly applied.  They are responsible for what they did.  As for the young woman, based on all that I have seen there is no way she deserved to be shot and killed.  But that's a risk you take when you refuse the orders of a law enforcement officer.  Whether what was done was appropriate is for the court system to decide.  But sadly had she not been involved in the storming of the Capitol she would be alive today.  And yes, had it been a black woman member of BLM there would be riots, looting, fire setting, violence and murders all across the country right now.....it's what they do.  And it's not what we do, nor should it be.
