Since it took you longer to reply than usual I thought you were out fishing again. Also, your response to Hodja was the same as usual, sidetrack the subject by jumping to President Trump. I support more of the information being provided by Phil than most of your comments because you pretty much shy away when anything about Obama or Clinton is mentioned. No, as I recall, I probably never said anything positive about Obama. As I have said before, he did exactly what he said he was going to do with "hope and change". And I am even more convinced than ever that most of his major undertakings were in support of a move toward moving toward a more socialist government. Just as a reminder, I will list some of what I think are among his lack luster accomplishments. 1. Passage of the Affordable Care Act. 2. !0 trillion dollars added to the National Debt. 3. Increased number of people in poverty and on food stamps. 4. Lack of enforcement of laws on Immigration. 5. Distrust created between Law Enforcement and the general public leading to riots and destruction of property with no one being held accountable. 6. Drawdown of our military forces. 7. Taking no action against cities and states providing "sanctuaries" for criminals who have "murdered" innocent people. 8. Pushing to limit the rights of citiizens under the 2nd Amendment. 9. Treaty with Iran on nuclear weapons and secretly sending them billions of dollars for return of Americans held in captivity. 10. Supporting court rulings that infringe on our rights of religion and other time honored "traditions" associated with a nation founded on principles of Christianity. 11. The use and enforcement of "political correctness" which infringes on the right of "freedom of speech". 12. Failure to use his "opportunity" as the first black president to unite the nation but instead created more "division" and "unrest" among the races. 13. Release of prisoners from GITMO of which many have been known to join back up with ISIS. 14. His failure to assess the strength of ISIS, referring to them as the "JV". 15. Failure to ever refer to ISIS as "radical islamist terrorist".
Regardless of whether one wants to talk about Alinsky's or someone elses guide on "How to Create a Socialist State", I believe the actions represented by the above list support those objectives. One last point whether you choose to believe it or not, I am not a "racist". I was born in Alabama while our country was segregated, served twenty years in the Air Force, and still happily reside in Alabama. At some time in the past, I stated that at the beginning of President Obama's first run for President I was somewhat impressed with his campaign and thought he could possibly improve racial relations in our country. I even listened to Michelle as she spoke about his run for President and talked with some of my black friends during that time about the possibility of a Black President. However, as time went by, and acknowledging some of his associates like Frank Marshall Davis, Charles Ogletree, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Quentin Young, Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers, and many ithers, I became very skeptical about his qualifications for President of the United States.
By the way, I thought GFY was shorthand for GoneFishin.
