A couple of weeks ago ex-sen David Purdue announced he was establishing a committee for his probable run for the senate again in 2022.  Yesterday he announce he had thought better of it an decided he was not interested after all.  Between then and now he did the obilgatory pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring and genuflect at the feet of Dear Leader.  It has been reported that during their time on the links Dear Leader made it clear he was going to do all he could to defeat Gov Brian Kemp in 2022*!  Suddenly the prospect of spending the next 2 years navigating between the off-the-wall nutcase Trump supporters and the merely mildly afflicted Kemp partisans sounded an extremely unappealing use of time and treasure!!

* Trump's declaration that he expects to go for Kemp's jugular is the best news Stacy Abrams has had at least since her efforts helped put 2 Democrats in the senate!!
