Interesting study on labor participation rate

For those of you that might want to blame the significant drop in the labor participation rate on retirees I refer you to a study by the Chicago Fed. They conlcuded only 20%-25% of the drop in the labor participation rate is a result of retirees. Makes sense to me as you add 175,000 new people to the job roles every month. Only the early boomers have hit retirement age and can't account for the millions of new people not working and not looking.
