From what I've seen, about 2 generations should do it for you. The locals will be very nice to you, but you will still be a "lake person" to them, i.e, that you have money, and they will charge you accordingly. They will likely tell you that "they could have lived out on the lake if they wanted to, but they didn't want to", etc, and explain ad nauseum. Most likely if you never worked for Russell, or if your Daddy, Momma or cousin didn't work for Russell, you didn't go to one of the local high schools (or one of your kids isn't going there), and you don't go to their particular church, you will probably remain a "lake person", bless your heart. But everyone is real nice.
