Once it's completely dry, Kilz should hide the stain. You may have to cut out and replace the area that looks bad if it was wet for a long time (fairly easy to do). The ceiling is probably OK unless water was leaking for a long time and spread over a large area; if that happened, you may have a mold problem that could be more serious.
