I'm sure most on this forum will have a completely plausible explanation as to why this is a blip and maybe it is...but in the entire month of March the Gallup daily tracking poll has Obama's approval in positive territory (approve exceeds disapprove) every single day.  It has been years since this has happened. He was 50%+ on 26 days and never lower than 49%.  On 23 days his approval vs disapproval was  5% or more.

I think that looking into the future prospects with the likely winner of either party as president, the people have decided Barack looks pretty dang good!
