The memo must have gone out because now we are starting to see Democrats and Never Trumpers make the ahistoric claim that Hitler's rise to power was about the German people complaining about inflation.  You think I'm joking look up Matthew Doowd or Robert Tracinski.  These are the trial balloons to see if it has tractions....hint, it doesn't.  But there are going to be others.  So we have now morphed from the Jan 6th riots being a bigger threat to our democracy than the Civil War to people complaining about inflation are a threat to democracy as well.

Forget the historical ignorance about the rise of the National Socialist Party in 1930's Germany from the equation and ponder what they are saying.....any criticism of the Democrat controlled govt is a threat to our nation's existence.  Mao, Stalin and Pol Pot would be so proud and Orwell would be mortified.  Also forget the civics ignorance that we are not a democracy, we are a representative Republic (if we can keep it as Ben Franklin said) and think about how bad things are looking for them, how apparently Putin is controlling our government as he is responsible for everything and Dementia Joe is a helpless and at his mercy and how they realize they have already lost the argument about the economic devastation wreaked in 16 short months as evidenced by the desparate use of the Hitler/Nazi pejorative.

EDIT:  I am waiting for them to also claim that people complaining about the stock market crashing, rising oil prices, the crisis at the southern border, the debacle retreat from Afghanistan, the coming recession, out of control crime, etc. were also what caused the rise of Hitler in Germany.  We're all just a bunch of Nazi's amiright?
