According to an article in the Atlantic, a very thorough study of 50,000 patients classified as Covid hospitalizations indicated that in 2021 almost half of them had mild symptoms or were asymptomatic and were likely in the hospital for some other reason or possibly improperly admitted.  If this number holds true for the rest of country what it means is that this number should be immediately cut in half.  Of course my guess is that the asymptomatic cases didn't even have the virus but were a false positive using the PCR test with too many CTs.  So take it with a huge grain of salt when they find some locale with a hospital overrun with ChiCom virus patients.  Those stories are usually made up by some woke doctor or nurse looking for attention or don't reflect the reality that possibly half the patients aren't there for the virus.
