I guess you have the documents in paper form but need them to get to a Word doc? this may or may not help, but if you have them scanned into a pdf file, I am pretty sure programs like Adobe can translate that into text. they get some words wrong sometimes but most will be right. If that doesn't work and you can't find someone locally I have had good luck on sites like http://fiverr.com - getting freelancers to do something like that for five or ten bucks. you send them the PDF. they send you the word doc.
