The sad truth is that some of the long timers think they own the lake and the places on it. All you can do is shrug them off. Some of the newer people don't seem to care about the unspoken rules of etiquette and seem to be oblivious to everything but what they want to do. The thing is the guy with the pontoon can come back another day when you aren't using that beach. We are full timers and during the week, there isn't much boat traffic at all, so we leave others to have their fun on the weekends. Courtesy seems in short supply these days and unfortunately, that has trickled down to the lake.
