"If the lower phase of water and ethanol is large enough to reach the fuel inlet, it could be pumped directly to the engine and cause significant problems" <<<< copied from previous post. >>>> Now, Same senario with proper service (fuel filter/water seperator) along with all the other maintainance that should be done on a regular basis should this ever come to this? Sounds to me like it should never/ever come to this stage. Yea, I can agree with the link if some boat/car owner never did ANY proper maintanance and let his fuel system get this bad to begin with! Most performance (and we don't see too much others but would like to) boaters never will have this condition. I will and have always encouraged all boats/owners to do complete service (expensive I know) every year. I know it cost money, but far less than a box of broken parts. The same can be said, trust me on this, your car will be in the same condition if you neglect regular service intervals which MOST people don't. Most of boaters will only have work performed on their boat when it breaks down, and they end up on the downwind side of a tow rope. Not ruffling feathers, just calling it like I see it. If you are going to operate in the "gray area" tune it for that. Nice article by the way. I enjoyed the info. Thanks.
