Honestly Cat I would have handled this pretty much the same way, what most don't realize is that they are scheduled behind someone else, there are other people in front of you, always have been always will be. Sometimes these jobs take a turn for the worse, all you can do at that point is grit your teeth , finish the job at hand and move on to the next one. What I see happening a lot is this, the ski or boat will actually break at the end of the season, but while most of us in the biz are sitting around twiddling out thumbs all winter the boats sit uncared for in someones back yard. Fast forward to Spring the boat is still broken but hey its nice and warm outside and everyone wants to go ride their boat, all on the same weekend. There is a saying in the biz, a lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part , words to live by right there.
