You know the more i think about it, i believe the bill should consider Boat Weights rather than boat length. Its not the length of a boat that creates the wake it the weight of the boat. The Big Fountain boats really dont bother because because they dont just putt around and cause the huge wakes like the big Cabin Crusiers do. Sure the fountain boats are loud, but that really dosent bother me. Also, contrary to popular belief, most of those Fountain boats will only run between 70-80 MPH. Most of your expensive Bass boats will do that. Its the huge wakes that bother me. I know before we built our seawall at out house we were losing large chunks of our yard every year for the past 4-5 years. Just look at the shoreline and you can see the affect of the increasing amounts of Big Wake producing boats on Lake Martin.
