I talked to APC recently. We were discussing permitting of new docks that do not come close to the guidelines set by APC . After much discussion the APC person said that they wanted everyone to have a dock and could permit anything they wanted. This seems to be in direct conflict with statements made by Walter Ramey, corporate real estate land manager for Alabama Power Co in the Sep 2006 issue of Lake Magazine, but I guess he is not the permitting authority.
