-I find this an intersting post because it seems to feed my prejudies ---which I have come to through many years of work in DC--- about national level politicians.
-For a party dedicated to the working people, I find alot of national-level democrats to be liars and hypocrites about sacrifices they expect the working people to make but don't think apply to them (the politicos) personally.
-For a party of free enterprise and personal/family values, I find alot of national-level Republicans to be liars and hypocrites about principlles and values they expect the small businessmen and teh rural folk back home to follow but don't think apply to them.
-Now if the facts in the above post about the first lady's support are true, ---and I'm too lazy to fact check them--- then this appears to be but another example.
-I really wish we could get to a valid third party. It would make these two old parties get back to the basics. But I guess I'm cynical enough to believe that eventually the power-curupts priciple would just take over again.
