Yours is not an uncommon response, even with those that are pro life or want reasonable limitations on abortion. It is indeed pragmatic to abandon or minimize this issue if your only goal is worldly political power. My view is that they are choosing worldly power over their own soul and that's not an exchange I am willing to make......cause, ya know...eternity is forever. Saw an interesting article about abortion laws in the U.S. versus the rest of the world. Very few civilized nations allow unfettered abortion after 20 weeks. We are in a class with North Korea and China and out of step with most of the western world...well except Canada which has fully embraced the culture of death. Think about that one.....the enlightened among us are always lecturing we need to be more like Europe, except when it comes to abortion.
But you are correct, women in the U.S. seem to covet the ability to terminate a pregnancy whenever and for whatever reason they want and they will vote against their own self interest in every other aspect of their lives to be able to abort a baby. Think about that. I vote to save babies and they vote to kill them......not a pretty picture.
