Not surprised someone was stupid enough to think this.  Not surprised they were even more stupid and wrote it.  Not surprised that the editors of GQ are so lacking in critical thinking that they allowed this to be posted.  And finally, I am not surprised that someone at GQ was stupid enough to post the correction in the way they did.  If you think like a leftists you have to be stupid.

A better retraction for them to use.  "GQ regrets that our writer was stupid to think that Trump was wrong not to call for the death penality for the already deceased LV shooter.  We further regret that the writer was stupd enough to actually write that.  We regret that our editors are so incompetent and ideologically blind that they were unable to critically think about this stupid writer's stupidity.  Simply put, GQ regrets that collectively we are all stupid leftists that have been failed by whatever education they got and are planning a class action lawsuit against the primary, secondary, graduate and post-graduate institutions that have so obviously failed us and cheated us out of a proper education."
