I'm not sure what post you are talking about.  It is a fact that no matter how reprehensible the message those fringe alt right groups have the right to assembly and the right to open carry in VA, and the right to say what they want under the 1st Amendment. 

This right fringe is such a small minority of the population.  It occurs to me that they are likely thrilled with all the press coverage they are getting.  it will serve to embolden them.  I do not know why, on Wednesday, Trump seemingly went back to his original belief that there was fault on both sides.  Well, in a small way that is right, because ALFRA was there, showing up with bats and body armor.  Clearly they didn't show up to participate in a peaceful protest.  I don't know what is in Trump's heart, but given that his daught and son-in-law are Jews, I kinda doubt that he is ready to go march with the neo Nazi.  (By the way, did you notice that they have gone more mainstream - no more shaved heads and jack boots.  This is supposed to make them seem more normal). 

Does it bother you that while our media was covering every inch of the Charlottesville protest, but 600 people in Sirerra Leone disappeared in a sudden mudslide?  Even the terrorist attacks in Spain and Finland didn't get much publicity, while our media parsed every single word uttered by Trump, and attempted to read the body language of everyone around him.  And now, the media is painting all Republicans as racist, in lock step with this fringe element.  Honestly, I doubt anyone of any stripe would say that these hate groups  represent them in any way, shape or form. 

There is no doubt that Trump, in his failure to condemn the hate groups outright has done political damage to himself.  But, he still has 3+ years to turn that around too.  Remember when Bush I was a hero one year and then lost the election the next because by then "it's the economy, stupid" resonated with him.  If that election had taken place one year before, he would have been a 2 term President.
