In the spirit of political armchair quarterbacking here on the forum, let’s get down to brass tacks. What are you predicting will happen at the GOP convention? Winning predictions to get due credit for being right, losing predictions buy a round for the House (or Senate, loser’s choice).
Rules are: be as specific as you dare to be. Get on record with what you think will happen, not just what you wish would happen. Joking & less than serious entries are allowed… but please make it clear when you are kidding or making a prediction you are going to stand by.
For my entry: 1. Trump gets the nomination but not until multiple ballots, during which the convention will look like a large professional wrestling event… including the audience participation part.
2. Moderate Republicans leave after the convention & come up with another candidate, formally creating a group that separates itself from the Evangelical/Tea Party/Trump movements …while hoping to convince moderate conservatives and Democrats who are disenchanted with Hillary Clinton to join them.
3. Koch Brothers continue to refuse to participate in electing the GOP nominee, throw their support to an independent candidate... influencing other PAC’s tofollow their lead. This becomes the basis of a new party in years to come, but too late to form a platform strong enough to compete for the Presidency this time around.
Ladies & gentlemen, step right up and place your bets…….
