When you read the article the real problem was the vote lead was based on calls from precincts about the vote totals and due to the confusion and chaos the numbers were wildly wrong. Had Hoffman known he was only behind by 3,000 votes he probably would not have conceded. Once he conceded Pelosi could seat the guy who promptly voted yea on the health bill monstrosity. He has still not been certified. He could be unseated shortly but I doubt there will be enough absentee votes to swing the result in an off year like this one.
