In my opinion, you could'nt have said it better. When I am around the lake in the off season (such as now), there is a calm, quite atmosphere. Almost like going to the beach in January. The road traffic is slow, and the lake area returns, or seems to return to a small town rural community/communities. Yea, I know there are 400k homes around the corner, but no-ones home. Kinda like I invision the Lake "Back then" as some longtimers refer too. Well, thats just the way it is, and I agree offseason survival probably depends how much $$$ you stuck back. (Kinda like the squirals and chipmonks do). Or, how you conducted business and built/earned trust and confidence with customers so that they would come to you regaurdless every chance they had. I also see how one could get caught-up in the Summer season and want to get right in the middle of things and build or create a business. Myself included! All of you told me NO. And many do fail. I see the lake as a seasonal place for the public majority. The masses will return in Springtime, and the cycle will continue. This is my .02 worth!
