I don't get the argument about this because I have stated over and over again that if it makes you feel better wear a dang mask.  But I've also pointed out the scientific fact that it does little to protect you and can cause harm if it gives a false sense of security and you are not diligent with the measures that actually make a difference.  Mask wearing during the Spanish Flu in the early 1900s was likewise required and did almost nothing to stem the spread of that form of influenza.  There was an intersting photo recently from the stands at a Georgia Tech game during the Spanish flu.....almost everyone was wearing a mask.  It didn't matter.
