I have installed two, yes, two new metal roofs within the last 7 years. The first was supplied by the company mentioned and started failing within the first two years. I cannot prove it, but I suspect that the installer that I had simply provided the least cost everything that covered the roof. No flashings, reused boots, wrong screws, etc, etc. Disaster for maybe 5 years of patching leaks.
Second roof was from the same company, A&E, but a much higher grade of metal. It also included ridge vent seals (think Red Wasp nests), eave molding and seals (think Red Wasp nest), special screws, et al.
The diff was the guy who installed the second roof. He knew what he was doing and the result was obvious. He will not allow me to share his name, or I would recommend him. Tallasee boy.
Point is. When you spend the thousands of dollars to buy a metal roof, the contractor who installs it is the main key. A&E makes different grades of roofing, at all prices. Get a trusted roofer who knows what he is doing.
