My bridge jumping days are long passed. Even if they weren't I have nothing to prove to you or anyone else. I don't have a dog in the PP fight, other than caring about what happens to the lake I call home and the good folks that are being run over by the money train headed their way. Lots of rumors are flying about. Who knows whats true and whats not? Certainly not me, and I would bet my bottom dollar not you.
You have now shown your colors and you ignorance with only two posts. One thing I do know for sure is that the residents have, at this point, till June 1 to vacate. That leaves about 12 weeks for the construction of the rumored marina in your time frame. Any adult with connected brain cells knows that NO project of those proportions could be completed in that time frame so it would be a no win for me. The dirt work couldn't be done in that time, assuming all the residents are actually out by June 1 which I find highly unlikely at this point. There will be lawsuits filed and any and every Judge will issue stays which will prevent APCO from moving forward till the matter is resolved whichever way it plays out. As has been brought up, there are many issues at play. DJ pointed out that the land usage maps have changed drastically since first being published several years ago. I know this to be true because I looked them up myself. I don't remember what the original plan for PP was as I had no interest in that area when they first came out. But I do know that several other areas have changed because I was interested in them and looked them up at the time. Next and even more important is the permits issued recently. If it can be shown that APCO issued those permits while even contemplating a change in the status quo, then I believe the residents are on pretty sound footing. At least those that did those improvements. Then there is the issue of recent sales.
You sir are an ignorant @sshole who thinks you are better than others because you (supposedly) own land on the shores of our beautiful lake. You couldn't be more wrong. You are in fact lower than anyone of those residents. Every citizen of our state has as much right, responsibility, and privilege of use just because they are human and live in Alabama. To think that others are less entitled because they couldn't or wouldn't spend big money in order to have access to these waters says a lot more about you, than them.
So you can take your snarky I'm better than you attitude to the 160ft depths at the dam and jump off there. It would be a shame if you made it out to waste more oxygen. You are no better than catfish food to me. The only thing I will be jumping off of are my pier and my boat, both of which I own. Doesn't it really suck that I am allowed on the same lake as you? Maybe next time you are in the water you can suck up some of that sewage that may or may not have leeched into the lake. You will never drown, however, because we all know that SH!T FLOATS!
