This is a more reasonable response to LNG's post than the one I made out of frustration at how the season ended.  I would love an expanded playoff system but have a lot of concern for the toll it might take on the players.  A system like you mentioned that would not tack on even more games could be  a reasonable approach.  The college game has gotten so rough..so intense.  These players are trying to kill each other out there (AU defense excluded)...but it would have been fun to have seen Baylor and TCU thrown into the mix this year.
