One night when Jimmy Carter was at Camp David he was visited by the ghost of Teddy Roosevelt.

   "How are things going," Teddy asked?

   "Not too good." replyed Jimmy. "You know, the Iranians seizes our embassy and are holding our people hostage."

   "You sent in the Marines, didn't you". 

    "No, I really didn't do anything," Jimmy replied, "And the Russians invaded Afghanistand"

    "Did you drop a nuke on Moscow," Teddy asked?

    "No, I didn't do anything," Jimmy said.

    "Great God allmighty,: said Teddy. "If I had acted like that in my adminestration, why Hell, we might have lost the Panama Canal!"
