Consistently missing is the view of the Arab world on the Syrian conflict.

We don’t seem to know what they want. Surely they have seen nation after nation descend into chaos after “Arab Spring” type takeovers. Established governments, however cruel they are (an acceptable condition under Islam), are being overthrown by rabbles of disjointed factions… who have NO plan for governing after a successful takeover. Into the breach of amateur hour in the captured capitol… steps fundamentalist Islamic leadership… and the rebels find more oppression than they had before they rebelled. Sharia law is not a liberating replacement for oppressive dictatorship or autocracy.

So… what do the other Arab nations want? They are surely in a quandary: They are Islamic governments who see what happens when Islam takes over a country.  These regional powers should come to consensus… and then lead the way. 

Meanwhile, the Western nations should stay out of this no-win conflagration in Syria (PLEASE don’t ask Senators McCain and Graham for advice).
