Wix, I write checks for more than $50,000 each year to state, city and county for various biz licenses, ad valoreum tax, inventory tax, permits, etc. I am not counting the taxes and fees collected and forwarded on a variety of schedules, just the Oct, Jan, and Feb checks. Now, although I write those checks, and have the money drawn from my account, who pays it? Those taxes and fees are a business expense, like rent, labor, insurance and utilities, and, are reflected in my pricing. Business taxes are the ultimate tax code deception, because the business tax is ultimately passed on to the unknowing consumer.
