You are absolutely correct. We have no problem with a low of 50 and a high of 80 in april. Can you say the same if it gets to the point we are talking a low of 80 and a high of 110 in April? Perhaps we could find ways to manage but will wheat and corn and beans, will cattle and hogs, will poultry, will fish in the oceans and lakes? The greatest threat will be to weather patterns which might expand deserts, dry up rivers and turn polar regions into rain forests. No climate scientists think we are going to see average temperature increase up 30 degrees in the foreseeable future, but they know even a ''climate'' change with 2 or 3 degree swing in average atmospheric and ocean temperature can wreck havoc on the ''weather'' and that can be a big problem for the planet and the planet's inhabitants. Why would we not adapt infinite or renewable means of energy production which are as much if not more dependable than finite fossil fuels and which will soon be economically competitive and which will preserve the planet? Do you know that in the US there are now well over twice as many jobs in renewable energy as in coal production and that renewables is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy worldwide? It's certainly not snake oil. To paraphrase your hero to America's Black citizens...''Just what in the hell have you got to lose?''
