So apparently some small oil-related company wanted to buy 400 North Face jackets with their company logo on them. North Face said they'd sell them the jackets but not with logos of some evil oil company. The oil company CEO totally hosed them by pointing out the following inconvenient facts:
1. The vast majority of North Face products are manufactured with petroleum based materials. Heck, even their fancy fleece jackets are made from oil.
2. North Face is currently building its own hangar at Centennial Airport in Denver to house it's two Dessault Falcon 7X's which cost $40M each and are triple engine jets that burn 318 gph of jet A.
3. Their customers use petroleum-based fuel to drive to their stores to buy their products to drive all over the country to use them. They should refuse to sell their products to these evildoers causing irreperable harm to the climate.
4. Their products are delivered to their stores and to customers using petroleum based fuels. They should immediately stop doing this.
5. Over half a million people fly on airlines to Colorado to ski every year, many of them sporting North Face products. In fact North Face sells to skiers around the world. Its A-Cad jackets list for $599, Brigandine jackets for $749, Purist Bibs for $549, TNF X Smith Mag goggles for $280 and the TNF X Smith Code Helmet for $230. All of which are made from oil.
6. Steve Rendle, the CEO of VF Corp (parent of North face) owns multiple homes and has a net worth of over $50M and travels extensively on the corporate jets.
One very clever oil company CEO gave them an award for being such a good customer in buying all these materials made from petroleum. This is where we are as a country where incoherent woke corporations virtue signal to sell their products to stupid customers who don't realize what utter hypocrites they are. So they cover up the vast amount of carbon use and emmissions and idiot consumers fall for it hook, line and sinker.
