The Donald is a publicity hound and I suspect that Mitt took the endorsement as a way to prevent a third party run. That may or may not be smart politics but it is true that any 3rd party run on either the left or the right ensures defeat of the major party candidate. Perot cost GHWB his second term and Nader cost Gore his chance.

But I am quite sure that if Mitt is the nominee he is going to do so many prayer breakfasts that his head will be spinning. The problem with Obama is that far too many people understand that he is a nominal Christian at best. I personally think he is more of an agnostic.
