At last Thursday's luncheon mentione in my earlier post, Chuck Leveall also told a true story of the most Recent Rolling Stones US tour. The tour was to make an evening outdoor stadium appearance in early September. The daytime high was well into the 90's and the humidity was off the charts. That morning while checking out the stage Mick Jagger (you have to imagine these conversations with a strong English accent) told everyone that it was important to drink lots of water during the performance to literally prevent possibly fainting on stage. He ordered all crew members to have plenty of water on stage and to drink throughout the concert. No matter where they were during the preparations for the entire day, Mick often looked up at the sun then said again "Tonight, everybody drink lots of water, I'm very serious, we have to all hydrate ..hydrate ..hydrate." This went on every few minutes, the man was obsessed and actually worried. Finally as the sun is setting they are preparing to go on stage and Mick again says "Remember...drink water, keep yourselves hydrated at all times." At this point Keith Richards shouts "For God Mick, will you give it rest...look here, I've put a couple of ice cubes in me vodka!"
